1/2 pound(2sticks) butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
1-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup raisins, chopped nuts or semisweet chocolate chips, if desired
1. Heat oven to 350°F.
2. In large bowl, beat all ingredients except oats, flour and raisins with electric mixer on medium speed
3. Stir in oats, flour and raisins.
4. On ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart.
5. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until light brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.
